Simonne Draper is the Czech acoustic and classical music composer and guitarist with a strong connection to England due to her English family. Spending most of her young life studying hoping to achieve a career in law, Simonne Draper made a u-turn to pursue her true passion of classical and orchestral music composition.
Influenced by different music styles including Spanish and Latin American guitar music, it is evident in her music that she is trained classically in Spanish guitar through her multitude of accomplished techniques and intelligent flurries presented throughout the tracks.
After working with the noted guitarist and composer Milan Tesař at conservatory in Prague, Draper became a member of the Czech Composers Society recently and went on to complete her album ‘Portraits In Guitar’, released by independent record label MSR Classics in 2019. The album attracted reviews from a number of publications including American classical music magazines Fanfare and American Record Guide, also featured on radios across a host of European countries, such as Classic FM in Prague or BBC Radio Kent. Her music is being played recently every year at the ‘Days of Contemporary Music Festival’ in Prague
