Rhett Daneka was born (Richard Bret Hutchins) in October 1967 in Baytown, Texas...25 miles east of downtown Houston. He graduated Baytown's Robert E. Lee High School in 1986 after which he attended Texas Tech shortly before jumping "all in" to become a pilot. In the early 2000's, Rhett left his flying career to be self-employed. It was in this time he realized he wanted to sing, and SING big time!! In early 2008, he changed his name. "There can only be one 'Bret,' and that's Bret Michaels" (of Poison). "I had to be different," -He said. In 2020, Rhett resumed his goal to make it into the music world. He sought after the best musicians, best producer, best recording studio, and best vocal coach.
Now, Rhett Daneka presents the single, ”Sacred Ground,” released on October 27th, 2023. ”Sacred Ground” is a powerful song full of feeling, which tells the story of a man doing his best to hold on to his life-long partner’s love, as their marriage is being threatened. The track is opened by a solo piano, followed by Rhett’s heart-gripping vocals. He sings a tale of love, betrayal, and the sanctity of marriage. ”This ain't just some neon love come lately, Its a precious thing you don't know nothing about, We were joined in the eyes of the Lord, in the eyes of our hometown, Why don't you leave her alone, You're treading on sacred ground.” And as the song progresses, a full Rock & Roll ensemble joins in.
