Michelle Murrell is a singer and songwriter hailing from the Central
Coast of NSW where her musical journey began at a young age,
becoming a lifelong passion. Throughout her high school years
Michelle played in various bands, laying the foundation for her
musical prowess. It was during this time that she crossed paths with
her future husband, James, who shared her passion for music and
was also a talented musician.
The late 90’s local live music scene brought Michelle and James
together, and their shared love for music deepened their connection.
However, life took a challenging turn in 2019 with a personal loss. In
the face of adversity, Michelle found solace and strength in the art of
songwriting and performing, using music as a cathartic outlet for
healing.
Michelle’s musical style is characterised by a unique and distinctive
vocal sound, blending a country-folk twang with the influence of her
90’s grunge upbringing. Her musical expression is complemented by
the rhythmic accompaniment of her husband James, who often joins
her on percussion. Together, they create an immersive experience,
drawing listeners into an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Michelle is poised to make her mark on the music scene with the
release of her debut music in January 2024. With a rich musical
background, a powerful and healing connection to her craft, and a
unique blend of genres, Michelle invites listeners to join her on a
