Sandy Summers ventures into new ground yet again
providing her riskiest track yet!
A toe-tapping anthem for road warriors everywhere
this colourful rockabilly track is a flirtatious highway
adventure!
Sandy aimed to craft a song that captures the rush of
the countryside whizzing by, along with a sense of
camaraderie among fellow drivers and the freedom of
cruising down the highway.
Twangy guitar riffs, playful melodies, and the exciting
suggestion of an action hero enhance the thrill of the
journey home.
Sandy’s 5th release “Hell Of A Highway” sets itself aside
adding a unique flavour & completing appeal for the
already diverse Summer Storm EP.
Sandy says the track almost didn’t make it into the
studio, but Simon Johnson & his musicians gave it the
kick it needed, completing it with backing vocals from
Glen Harrison (Kaylens Rain).
This retro feel cheeky single is sure to turn some heads
with the added appeal of a Music Video produced by
Blacklist Productions which sees Sandy singing
alongside boot scooters & an Aussie muscle car.
A 2024 Finalist in Tamworth's ACM People's Choice
Awards, Sandy Summers is a soloist and accredited
singer-songwriter from Cessnock NSW Australia.
Her solo work entered the airwaves in July 2023 when
she released upbeat debut single "Jet lag" from her
"Summer Storm" EP.
Sandy has since released “Devil in her Heart” & “Run
Today” each displaying a shift in flavour and widening
appeal for her EP with a mix of styles to include Alt
Country, Outlaw & Traditional Country.
All four (4) of Sandy’s releases have appeared on
Campfire Publishing’s Top 40 Country Songs Airplay
Chart with “One Step At A Time” reaching #10 and
"Run Today" appearing on AMRAP's Regional Chart as
5th Most Downloaded track (Jan 15) 2024.
Sandy’s original work tends to focus on the hard times
she experienced as a child & broken love, with her next
release taking a noticeable shift toward Country
Rockabilly!
Having appeared on Peel Street and the Toyota Tailgate
Sessions at this year’s Tamworth Country Music
Festival, Sandy lives by the ideal of "never doing things
by halves" and applies this same attitude to music and
performance.
Sandy began performing publicly in 2016 after
achieving credits in AMEB’s Singing for Leisure exams.
This classical tuition afforded her firsts at Abermain
Eisteddfod & Bellbird CMC Championships before she
co-founded the duo 'The RnR Ranchgirls' (2017-23 PCA
winners for Best Duo 2023 and Finalists in Tamworth's
Top 10 Busking Championships).
Sandy embarked on her solo career in February 2023
adopting the stage name “Sandy Summers” and her
brand continually gains momentum performing live
around NSW venues as far as Moree to Muswellbrook
with her popular "Songs of Summer" & "Summer
Storm" Shows.
Sandy says, “Singing was always knocking on the inside
wanting out & always will be!”
