Theresa
Rhodes’ dream becomes reality somewhere, “In The Middle Of
Nowhere”, a song about falling in love unexpectedly. As
for her preceding solo albums, Theresa, worked with her friends,
guitarist/producer Eric Sempé, Christian Grassart on drums and
Jérome Zarco & Jeff Soulard for the backing vocals.
British
singer-song-writer Theresa Rhodes spent her youth in India and
Rhodesia/Zimbabwe. She started singing and playing guitar aged 10. At
18, she joined a band to record a country music album. In 1992, she
began writing her own songs. Jermaine Jackson heard Theresa Rhodes
sing "Save Tomorrow" for the first time in 1993. He liked
the song and its message and offered to sing it with her. The duo
first performed in public at a charity concert in England.
They then
recorded the title and toured together to promote the song. In 1994,
Theresa formed the group ONE FOR THE ROAD with which she recorded 4
albums and gave numerous concerts, notably in Paris at the "New
Morning" and at the “Arena” in Geneva where she played the
first act before Lionel Richie. Then came three solo albums: "IF
YOU HAD ONLY", "THE TWISTED LOGIC OF LOVE" and "MAGIC
LINGERS ON". Theresa’s composing went on throughout the Covid
pandemic in preparation of her 10th album. She
releases “Bombs on You and I” in 2023 and “The Magic Wand” in
2024, followed by ‘In The Middle Of Nowhere”.
