With Kara Ciezki’s love of synthesizer’s, sequenced bass
lines and distinctive riffs, it’s no wonder these songs
were chosen to be intertwined into another genius
mashup.
This mashup takes you through a journey of fighting
against the feeling of despair and the need to fight
whilst restoring hope and faith – it’s a glorious synergy
of tension, release, energy, and euphoria. The entire
band need to take a huge bow for making this
arrangement work so well and so seamlessly!!
SMASH IT UP is an album concept and show created by
Kara Ciezki, that specialises in re-creating mashups in
ways you never expected!
A mashup is a technique which involves the blending of
two or more pre-recorded songs, where the vocal track
of one song is overlayed seamlessly over the
instrumental track of another song. There are
thousands of mashups that have been created by DJ’s
and music producers, but these new releases take the
mashup to another level – a SMASH UP!
Using well known iconic songs that people know and
love from artists including Gloria Gaynor, Donna
Summer, Adele, Britney Spears and The Eurythmics,
and putting them together with more recent artists
such as Billie Eilish, Tones & I, Jonas Brothers, Dua Lipa,
Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, these songs have been recreated beyond the typical ‘mashup.’
Expect to hear incredible recordings with a sensational
live band, horn section, and 50+ layers of vocal
harmonies and arrangements.
The album will be released in full in October 2024, with
all 9 singles off the album being released in both Stereo
and Dolby Atmos.
You may have heard these songs before, but what sets
these releases apart is the fact you’ve never heard
them arranged in this way or in Dolby Atmos with
immersive sound.
