Matt Maloof, a singer-songwriter and
long-time Warren resident, gained recognition in the music industry.
He was nominated for five awards by the International
Singer-Songwriter Association, including Vocalist of the Year, Rising
Star of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, and Emerging
Artist in 2023. Maloof’s third album, titled “How’m I Doin,”
leans toward alternative country. He was awarded USA Male (silver)
Album of The Year in Atlanta Georgia last August for Howm I Doin.
His music blends rock and roll, blues,
country and soul, drawing inspiration from legends like Johnny Cash,
Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Ray Charles, and John Cougar
Mellencamp. His journey involves creating music,
publishing music, mastering social media promotion, and networking
with fellow musicians. He is a finalist for Songwriter of The Year,
Vocalist of The Year and Rising Star of The Year for the The 2024
ISSA Awards While there are no guarantees, being a
finalist alone is a remarkable achievement for him.
