Named after King
Acemandese from Kemet, Africa, Nzondi (Ace Antonio-Hall) was born
Acemandese Nzondi Hall in Queens, New York on July 4th. The singer,
songwriter and Bram Stoker Award-winning author wrote, performed and
produced the alternative rock song “Teenage RockStarr”
renamed to “Nothin’ Left” on his upcoming album. It features
Dave Moreno (Puddle of Mudd) on drums, and also features Hip Hop
icon/actor, Fredro Starr from the legendary group Onyx. The single is
out October 11th and like his latest releases, “Freak” and “Hate
on the Rocks” have a twisted blend of punk and hard rock.
In 2013, his debut novel,
Confessions of Sylva Slasher, was published by Montag Press. His
science fiction/horror work, Oware Mosaic is the 2019 Bram Stoker
Awards® Winner for Superior Achievement in a Young Adult Novel,
making him the first African American to win the prestigious award in
a novel category. Nzondi is also a two-time Honorable Mention winner
of the Writers and Illustrators of the Future Award.
His upcoming album
entitled No Rules in the Apocalypse is due out in early 2025.
